DELIVEROO PLOTS IRISH EXPANSION AS DEMAND GROWS

Dublin, 4th September: Deliveroo is expanding its service across Ireland to meet growing consumer demand.

Over the next two years, the company is looking to sign up new restaurants and shops across the Greater Dublin Area, its surrounding towns and counties, along with Limerick and Galway.

Over the past year, the number of people ordering on Deliveroo each month in Dublin's suburbs grew by more than 25%, and the number of new consumers grew by almost 20%* — outpacing growth in the city centre. Meanwhile, across Ireland as a whole, monthly active users grew more than 15% year-on-year.**

As consumer appetite grows, Deliveroo is recruiting for a number of roles across business development, partner management and marketing in what is the first major growth programme for Deliveroo Ireland since DoorDash acquired the company in 2025.

The new roles will be based at Deliveroo Ireland's Dublin headquarters and will work across the areas covered by the programme, providing more on the ground support to local businesses, along with increased marketing investment to build brand awareness and drive consumer acquisition.

Our focus is on recruiting more local restaurants and shops, and supporting them to reach more consumers.”

Deliveroo launched in Ireland in 2015 and now works with thousands of local businesses and serves hundreds of thousands of consumers across the country. It launched grocery delivery in 2020 and expanded into non-food retail in 2025, with partners including M&S Ireland, Tesco Whoosh, Accessorize and The Perfume Shop.

Deliveroo was founded in the UK in 2013 and joined forces with DoorDash in 2025. The combined company operates in more than 40 countries.
