DELIVEROO AND SCOOP DESSERT PARLOUR MARK NATIONAL POTATO DAY WITH SPUDTACULAR POTATO MILK ICE CREAM

Thursday, 29th September: For those not in the know, October 1st is Ireland’s National Potato Day - the annual celebration of one of the Emerald Isle’s most iconic symbols. To mark the momentous occasion, Deliveroo and Scoop Dessert Parlour have collaborated to make Ireland’s first potato milk ice cream.

Potato milk caught the imagination of the country earlier this year when it first reached these shores. Yes, this appeeling (excuse the pun) new plant based innovation struck a chord with a nation that loves elevating the humble spud to new heights.

Let’s face it, Ireland takes potatoes seriously. In fact, some people have made a national sport out of ranking different forms of potato, from worst to best. Deliveroo are weighing in on this debate by revealing some of the most popular potato dishes on the Deliveroo app:

• Potato Masala Dosa from Dosa Dosa
• Home-Made Potato Pie from C.F. Lennox Weekend
• Japchae (stir-fried Korean sweet potato noodles) from Han Sung Restaurant
• Fries from Wowburger
