DELIVEROO BOOSTS ITS LEADERSHIP TEAM IN IRELAND WITH THE APPOINTMENT OF BREFFNEY BRASS

6th April 2022: Deliveroo, the leading food delivery company, has appointed Breffney Brass as its Country Director for Ireland. The newly created role will lead Deliveroo’s growth in Ireland, building on the company’s commitment to this key market, working with more than 1,000 self-employed riders and over 1,800 restaurants across the country.

Breffney, originally from Cork, joined Deliveroo in 2016. Most recently, she was Chief of Staff to Deliveroo’s Founder & CEO, Will Shu, and has led on rider engagement, global communications and policy for the company. Breffney will have responsibility for Deliveroo's commercial and operational performance in Ireland. She brings a wealth of experience with her, specific to the Deliveroo business, having been consistently promoted within the company over the last six years.

Breffney began her tenure at Deliveroo in the Corporate Communications department in 2016, before moving into operational strategy with her role focused on working with Deliveroo riders globally. In 2019, Breffney was promoted to Director of Global Communications & Policy and in 2020 also took over the role as Chief of Staff, a position she has held until this most recent appointment. Prior to her career at Deliveroo, Breffney started out in Government Affairs and Management Consultancy. She holds a Masters Degree in International Politics from Trinity College Dublin and a BA Degree from University College Cork.
